Need some advice

Hello there

i've got some questions about some equipment.
I have got the oppurtunity to buy some studio stuff for a nice price (well, i think its a nice price, but ill get back on that later). I will most likely use the wrong words etcetera for this, but ill do my best and explain it. I got an email and its Dutch, so i will "translate" them as good as i can.
Anyways, here goes:
I can buy a thing on which you can hang a backdrop.
2 flashlights One of which has a softbox and the other one has got a umbrella and a reflector.
And a Minolta IV F Flashmeter.
Also had some pics with the mail, so ill just put them in this post too. Probably will make more sense then.
Soooooo, i can buy this set for a little more over 800 euro (546 british pounds, 1000 USD) is that a good price for this?
And since im totally new to all of this stuff, isnt this a but overkill for me?
I am assuming that i can use this all with my Canon EOS 350D.

well, after some thinking i decided to just go for it
Really going into the deep this time. Never ever worked with anything like it, gonna take alot of experimenting and reading. But im sure i will enjoy this set
