sorry everyone, i know people post these questions all the time, but i'm just having trouble choosing a camera bag. what i need to fit in it, is - One body , about 6 lenses, flash, and just random accesories. I'm looking for a backpack style bag. I was looking at the tamrac 5575 but its a little more expensive than i was looking for (although that might be unavoidable) I'm having a hard time deciding what i want, because i dont have many camera shops in the area to actually look at bags, and i just dont really know where to look online because there are soo many brands out there. so i guess i just want to know if anyone has any suggestions, or what kind of bags do you have, how much did you pay, and whats in your bag?

Well I can tell you that I have been searching camera bags too and I knew that I wanted a backpack style. I know just from looking around that I would be spending more money for a camera bag for my DSLR then I did for my P&S.

Anyways, even though I don't have an answer for you about "what kind" to buy I can tell you that if you search on http://www.bhphotovideo.com/ you can search camera bags by style. Since you stated you wanted a backpack style one too you should go there and look at all the ones they have available.

Good Luck with your search.

anyone else have any ideas?

I''ve been looking at the Slingshot series from LowePro - i don't know if that's quite what you've in mind as a backpack though - it's more of a hybrid.... The 300 AW is the larger size and seems most likely to meet your equipment carrying needs....

Also a review:

It's on my short-list of need to buy and next to buy!

B&H is a good site, they have a good selcetion of the main brands a lot of pros prefer. I personally use the Kata brand of bags due to its ruggedness. I have the rucksack which is a medium size backpack. It holds my one body with a EF 300 F/4 IS L attached, along with a 70-200 f/2.8 L IS, and three other lenses. Plenty of pockets for more gear. It's modular so you can actually add on a waist pack to the bottom if you want to carry more stuff. They do have larger models if you need more space. Not the lightest bags in the world, but that's the trade-off for the durability. I also looked at Lowepro Orion and Trekker line of backpacks before going with Kata. Check out their site kata-bags.com for more info.

thanks for your help everyone, i decided on the tamrac 5575
