Laptop, ultra book,
First requirement is light weight for travel, screen quality, and battery life so I don't have to carry charger.
Would prefer USB 3 and sd slots but happy to buy dongle with ports.
Budget < 1200 or so.
128 B.B. Ssd but prefer 256
I5 ok

With the new i7 out, there is a lot of last year models for decent prices

I have been very happy with my 13" MBP. Have the i5, 8gb RAM and 256 SSD and had to go a bit over my planned budget at the time just because I decided to jump from Windows to Mac.

It's not the new model that needs the dongles, but I would actually prefer that design as I often want to connect things to different sides of the computer and that would solve the problem.

I've travelled extensively with it for almost three years now and it has been a back-saver over what I used to carry around. The battery life is excellent, runs silent and hasn't crashed one single time.

I had been 100% on Windows up until this unit and actually can boot to Windows for a couple programs I still use. Right now I am at home with LR open on an external monitor and writing here on the laptop screen.
