Very happy, compared to my 20d it looks light years ahead. Looking forward to getting to know this camera.

the only problem with my 5D is I needed to buy better lenses to take advantage of it. Not a bad problem to have.

  3. I have the 5D Mk I (as I guess it's now known), and the 1Ds Mk III (which has the same sensor and controls as the 5D Mk II).

I really only use the 1Ds for (industrial) landscapes where I want a lot of detail and tonal range. I find the 5D is a great camera for everyday shooting. You will be very happy with it.

Coming over to the dark side eh? lol.

It seems like the 5D MkIs are selling like hotcakes now that the MkII is out. I hope they had a good surplus of them!
