New "affordable" Mamiya MF DSLR introduced

    Very nice indeed... would love to get my hands on one... also hoping it will give Pentax a kick up the backside and make them say something about their 645d. As for the Mamiya I'm glad to see they've kept it 'modular' with the ZD back removable. Presumably you could use a film back and digital back on the new body?

    They are half way there. I think they need to get under $5K to resurrect the dying MF market. At $5K I think that would certainly happen. You can get a hasselblad C digital for about the same money and that hasn't spurred a resurgence.

    I love how they say affordable and ten grand in the same breath. That ain't affordable to me. I think I'll stick with my med format film and scanner for a while (ie the rest of my life). But that said if I had ten grand rattling around I would go with this rather than a big old Nikon or cannon slr.
