New at photography

Well, my wife got me a Nikon d90 last month for my birthday and its been great fun, been trying to learn some photoshop as well, tell me what you think

Nice shots! I really like what you've done with the first, it's really eerie and cold. Is the D90 your first DSLR?

ya.. first real camera, I have had 4 mp point and shoot, but my wife said I needed a hobby, and so far, I like it, gets me outta the house, and you really start to think about different positions you can take a pic, some of the people on here are amazing, just blows my mind.

#1 -- very nice effect. I'm not sure what to call it, but I like the vignette and blur -- it has a feeling of motion.

#2 -- please, please, PLEASE ditch the border. It adds nothing to the photo, and actually subtracts.

#5 -- I really have a think for lonely leaves, so I like this -- especially how it's almost "hiding" in the mud. Good job.
