Hello all!
I am planning to finally spend more time enjoying/learning digital photography and I'm considering different cameras.
1) I own a 35mm pentax with 2 lenses (28-80 and 70-320mm), so getting a K100D seems like a good deal being able to use (albeit without AF) the lenses, and the K100D is in my money range.
2) On the other hand, I'm considering a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 (accessible, light, great zoom range, definitely enough to keep me learning for a while)

Now, what do I want the camera for?
well, mostly city shoots, occasional hiking, mostly good to ok light, but definitely low light as well (dawn and dusk). Hopefully also use it on the road where I don't want to want to kill myself if it breaks or gets stolen.

I'd love some expert's advice! thanks!

if you're thinking about staying with pentax, check out the k200. if you're outside a lot, the weather sealing will be the best of all features you could imagine. i'm still surprised this camera is sealed.

thanks, but it's way too expensive. I don't want to pay more attention to the camera than my surroundings!

Get the Pentax, use your lenses. The Panasonic doesn't measure up.
