New guy from North Carolina...(Sometimes)

Hey everyone, just found this site and so far there is alot of good information. I have been taking pictures as a hobby for sometime now but only recently decided to jump up to DSLR. I got a Nikon D40 from a friend of mine for 300.00 and it came with the AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G EDII and a AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6 G IF-ED so for the price I couldn't resist. I am in the U.S.Army and I currently deployed to Afghanistan. Well enough about me onto the learning!
