Hi,
I just join the forum even if i was watching it for a while. I am new to photography, so I would really appreciate if you can give me some critiques on those pics. I know there are not good, but i need your advices to improve, so feel free...

Thanks,
David

These look nice to me.

I like the first one as it is. Is that spec the moon, or a print defect? Hard to tell in the scan.

All I'd say about the second one is more contrast and maybe move the subject up and to the right a bit.

What equipment are you using?

I really like that second shot but would agree about the positioning. Maybe you have an original which you can crop slightly differently?

Out of the two of these the second definitely has the most potential and brings more interest. This is because it is a more unique picture that the first.

I would try contrast and lighting changes, just something to make the subject stand out a little more.

i really love the second one .. i like the colors, composition, depth of field and the close crop :D

Thanks everybody for your comments :)
In the first picture, it is the moon. Somehow the resizing and compression of the image made it even smaller than what it was already !

I followed your ideas on the second one, and i came up with this new image. Is it better now ?

The camera, I am using, is a Canon Digital Rebel.

And by the way, welcome to the forum ;)
