Hey guys! I'm new to this forum. I just recently became really into photography. I bought a t1i a few months ago then realized the kit lens was crappy so I bought the canon 28-135 and didn't realize that too was a kit lens but I actually like it:) I only shoot manual only because I like the challenge. I'll post pictures soon when I get back on my PC

Emily, go buy 50mm f/1.4. I use that lens 90% of the time with my T1i. Most of the time the subject is easy to get close to, or I dont have enough light.

True! But a great photographer told me that lens wont depreciate as much as your camera body. So if you want to spend money, spend it on the lens LOL.

Let me reprhase it, go buy used 1.8 or a new 1.4. There are a lot of people selling their 1.8 to buy 1.4 but I dont see used 1.4 anywhere.
