New lens, couple pics...

    Can others edit my Photos:
    Photos NOT OK to edit
    Well, I broke down and returned my 50mm AF f1.8, and got the AF-S 50mm f1.4.

    All I have to say is WOW! I just shot a few random shots downtown really quick after getting it, just to test it out. The DOF is incredible, the colors are unreal, and the AF is surprisingly quick!

    Here are just two random shots. (C&C is welcome, but like I said not much thought was put into these, I was mainly testing out my new glass!)

    1. I did some PP on this to get this look. I wanted a silhouette with the transparent leaf.

    2. This one has almost NO PP. All I did was crop, and change contrast ever so slightly.

    In most cases the f/1.4 is a far superior quality lens over the f/1.8 ... as the 50mm f/1.8 was generally made as the cheap kit lens.

    Yea I can see why....I now fully understand when people talk about how the lens is the most important thing.
