Nikon d50
Does anyone have any experience with either the Sigma 70-300 F4-5.6 DG MACRO (http://sigmaphoto.com/lenses/lenses_all_details.asp?id=3304&navigator=3) or the Nikkor 55-200 VR lens? I'm thinking about adding a longer lens to my bag and these are the two that I have seen for relatively little money ($100 for a used Sigma and $250ish for a new Nikkor).
My shooting is sort of all over the place right now as I'm just learning and I currently have the kit 18-55 and 50 1.8. These lenses have been great so far as I really enjoy the 18mm end of the kit lens and sharpness and depth of field of the 50. I have just run into a few instances where I would like some more reach. (Ex: Red Sox game and Celtics Parade yesterday). I'm not ready to commit to a $1200 2.8 lens just yet so I'm trying to keep the prices down.
Any help would be great.
