Have a new macro lens the Tamron SP 90mm.
Here's one of my first attempts with it.

What settings did you have the camera at?

Was this photo taken indoors or outdoors?

    It is a beautiful photo!
    Thanks

Thank ye both very much for taking the time to look at this

Thought this would open in Flickr when you clicked bigger but...
anyway here's my page at flickr where you can read all about the settings

    Flickr: Caffler's Photostream

but basically it was taken indoors using the macro lens with a ringflash
f/29 at 100 sec it says there but i had the camera set at f/32 at 60 sec i think.
i dialed in a small bit of highlight recovery in camera raw and reduced the clarity a click or two before converting to jpeg in ps.

    Thanks again.
This photo was not cropped, I think that with this still life stuff there should be no need for cropping, you have time enough to frame the composition in the camera. After all the subject's not waiting on a bus, so it's not going anywhere.:D
