    Hello Everyone!

I just got my light meter in the mail this morning and I've read through the directions and think that I've KINDA figured it out.

    Its the sekonic l-308s
I'm not sure what modes to be using in? Studio? Location/Outdoor

    ambient

    cordless flash

    flash reading using flash cord

In the studio I use 3 strobe and use my external flash with hotshoe on a tripod.

Location/Outdoor I use my external flash and reflector.

I understand you are suppose to set the ISO first, then the shutter speed and the light meter tells you what F stop you should be shooting with.

While testing it in the studio setting the pictures were WAY dark when I change the apeture to what the meter said.

    SO CONFUSED!!!!

    thanks!!

Were you taking incident or reflected light readings? Was the white dome in the right position for either type of measurement? Did you set the ISO properly on the light meter and was it the same on your camera?
