I got one of those fancy big paperweights today. Used of course, mint glass, hood just fair, body good. Motor making some noise, but not too bad. I consider this lens to be a very very good deal. Case even came with the keys. All though I wish I still had my Nikon 300 f/2.8 AF-d (stolen, replaced by a Tokina MF and a Tamron AF). This kinda makes up for it.

Yeah - paperweight. It's trash; pack it back up and send it to me - I'll take it to the landfill for you.

In an old newsgroup dedicated to woodworking, the appropriate response would be "you suck." Understand, it's a compliment; getting it at a really good price is responded with "you really suck." :)

    Enjoy it.

That puppy would hold a ton of paper in some very stiff winds. Well done.

    PS- You suck.

If you know woodworking. It was a McKinley (or 5- Franklins for the younger folk) less than a Sawstop 3hp cabinet saw! That's on my list (now future list) of aquisitions.

    :BangHead:

Took the wife less than 20 seconds to see the new Nikon case on the shelf.

    :aufsmaul:

Looks like the start of it, is buying dinner tonight. :BangHead:

    Still worth it. :345:

Time to cancel your gym membership, you won't need it after hauling that paper weight around..

That gives me an idea. Going to tell the wife I need a similar weight for the other side. Like the weight of a 600mm f/4.0. :1219:

If a 600mm f/4.0 only cost me a couple dinners, I'm all in. hahahaha. And actually dinner tonight was Pizza. So, I'm getting off easy. I did explain it was less than 1/4 the cost of a new one. Though I have to admit she has no idea how much a new one really costs. :allteeth:
