new photo C&C please

I took this yesterday. I think it's my best photo so far.

But besides that, I've been thinking about buying a new body. I currently use a Canon 10d with a 28-105mm f3.5-4.5 and a 50mm f1.4 prime
I want to shoot some indoor sports photography. However, I find most of my shots above 400 iso aren't that great (I don't even like most of the ones at 400) So, what should I do? Invest in a new body (with new noise reduction functions hopefully?) or buy a telephoto zoom, hopefully with IS.
I've been looking at the Canon 70-300mm USM IS.
My price range for a lens is somewhere around $500 and a new body possibly a bit more, though I'd have to save up some money first.
