New Photographer from Atlanta

So aquired a new Canon EOS 40D a few months ago along with a 28-135mm lens, but i only recently started reading about photography and trying to get better. This seems like it would be a good place to pick up photography pointers as well as editing tips. Thanks in advance guys.
