hey every one its been SOOOO long since i have posted here. i got stuck inside this weekend due to the insane amount of rain, got board and busted out my camera. i have hard a hard time finding the motivation to take pictures, but i think these came out pretty good for a kit lens. messed around with black and white. hope you guy and girls like them. please give me feed back and ways i can improve my technique

The first dog picture is my favorite. It has different shades and shadows that mix well within the photo.

    Hi Kyle,

That first one is great, the contrast with the b&w's are very good.
The dog in the 2nd image is quite soft which is distracting. Ash tray is cool, just a little more space below the tray may help as well.

I did notice most of the subjects are centered or close to it. Try off centering your images a bit. Usually adds to the images!

Totally LOVE the praying mantis shots! :D

I like the 3rd dog photo (beneath the butts). But I'm a sucker for b/w shots.

Love that 1st one of the dog! The b&w works really well with that photo, you did great on the insect shots as well!

The 4th one is a good one. It seems sharp and the contrast looks pretty good. I like the primary colors in the 5th one (Jenga blocks?). I also like the praying mantis shots. Their backgrounds are distracting (second one is much better), but still good. Nice job!
