Finally got an external flash. Here are my new snaps from a bar last night. Love the flash. Thanks for any advice/C&C.

Thanks :). I got the Promaster 7500DX. Was gonna go with the 580ex, but decided on this because of the price and how similar it is to the 580.

First pic is solid, but needs to be brightened up a bit. Bump the contrast, too.

Second pic is *really* nice. The light is great. What did you do? Bounce it off a wall to the left there? I might have taken it with the guy a little less centered- more to the left. Other than that, though...

Third pic is ok, but you cut off her chin which is a bit weird.

I wouldn't even try to claim credit for the 4th. :)

Thanks for the C&C manaheim. I am kinda of disappointed with the first one too, because he is such a cool subject. I got one of his whole body, and he is covered in tattoos. Very fun.

Second I pointed the flash straight up and put my hand behind it. Thanks for the kind words :).

3rd I was a little drunker than I wanted to be. I didn't mean to cut her face off haha.

I did take the 4th heh. But it's that last one that is not my shot. I really like the last shot though :).

Jbat: These were all taken with an f/ 1.8 and 1/60 on M. ISO was either 400 or 800.

    RealityCheck: Thank you.
