New to board, C&C please.

hey there, new to the boards figured i would post some of my stuff for C&C. Im new to photography, just picked up my d90 a week or so ago. anyways here they are

1. f/4, 1/80

2. f/3.5, 1/80

3. f4, 1/80

#1 - The flower itself looks good but the background is a little distracting
#2 - This is the best of the 3 IMO, but I would have liked to see the whole flower. Still a good shot
#3 - This one doesn't do much for me. It seems a little dull.

the second one is definitely your best. go in that direction. for the first one, a close up might be better

I agree with the others - the first image's background is very distracting.

The second image is your best. You might try shooting the subject again with an even shallower depth of field to make the primary flower really stand out against a blurred background.
