Hi, I'm wanting to REALLY get into photography. I'm only 16, I'm male from Atlanta, Georgia. I have a small budget though, as far as cameras go :p. I only have around $300 to spend on one. I found this camera locally, if anyone could give me any insight on if it is good or not, that would be awesome!. Here it is:

Like new 35mm Cannon EOS Rebel XSN camera, comes with 35x80 lens and an extra 75x300m Zoom lens - with carrying case and instruction booklet. A $700 value (all for $250) in excellent conditon for professional photography.

That is the only image he provided and the only information. Of course I will check it when I get there to make sure everything is functioning properly. He is selling it for $250 as well. Any help at all is greatly appreciated, Thank you :).

Do you know this is a film camera ? not digital

I'm not a big Canon expert but am pretty sure it's a film camera.

Not only will you have to buy film for the camera you'll also have to pay someone to process the film for you. You could always buy the necessary chemicals and set up a makeshift darkroom in a bathrooom that doesn't have any windows.

Shooting film costs more than shooting digital. I'd hold out for a digital camera myself. You should be able to find a EOS Rebel XS or a Nikon D40 for about $300.

Oh, it's a film camera...that's not good. There is another one that's local to here, but I looked at the pictures and noticed it was a film camera too. Well thanks for the help anyways guys :). Glad to have gotten such a quick response.

Here is one more that I found locally, that IS digital lol:

The G10 is a great advanced point n shoot camera to start.

I agree with Chip, if you cannot quite afford to get into DSLR, that Canon G10 is a damn fine advanced point and shoot.
