New to the forum and sorta new to photography

Hello Everyone,
My name is Nick, I have always been into the arts, mostly drawing and painting, but recently changed my focus to photography. (no pun intended) I have pretty much hit the ground running and have already taken a boat load of shots. From landscapes to portraits to a friends wedding. I have a great mentor as well who has guided me quite well so far. I am starting out with a decent DSLR, the Nikon D3000 with a few lenses and lots of accessories. I am planning on starting little and getting into a few small paid gigs, but progress enough to be able to pay for my next camera body upgrade to the D3X, just from the money made from shoots.

I will upload a few of my favorite shots that i have taken thus far and hopefully be able to get some great suggestions/critiques. I look forward to sharing my progression with you all and also learning from the many experts here. Thanks in advance.
