    Heya Ryan, welcome to ThePhotoForum.

:pale: ... I'm not sure I am too keen on seeing mangled roadkill being photographed in a close-up. I see lots of it in reality and with my eyes and have never ever feld inclined to kneel down in the attempt to get "a good photo of it".

Technically there's nothing wrong, focus, aperture, colours, composition ... but why SUCH a subject??? It's not that we must only shoot things that are beautiful in and out of themselves. But ... mangled roadkill...?????

    hahah
it has to do with crossing the line in life and taking a risk

in this case the rabbit crossed the line, took a risk crossing the street and ended up dying just on the other side of that line. feel free to interpret it in your own mind but that is how i saw and and that is was caused me to lay on the ground and take that picture.
    =)

i was thinking the exact same thing.

You have some interesting subjects, and as lafoto said, focus, colors ect
are well, what calls to you to shoot the subjects you have chosen?

welcome to TPF. we're not being mean, just nosey;)

    hey christina.

ive always had this thing to photograph the "less attractive" things in life.
es ive grown up in a wealthy neighboorhood where stuff like what you see in my pictures gets overlooked every day. idk what im trying to see ahah im jsut rambling im too tired i cant even type right. i guess im just trying to show the people where i live that there is more outside of the walls that they live in.

Well, you have something that draws you to your subjects, & that is a wonderful thing, Your not just snapping everything in front of your camera. :)

it seems like your on the right path.

I look forward to seeing more of your work.

I'm with the odd crowd here, man. I love the roadkill shot. Perfect focus point, angle... everything.

Life isn't always pretty, and it's great to see a photographer out there that dares the people viewing his work to look past their own concepts of what is visually acceptable, and challenge them to take a look at things that are considered a bit taboo.
