new zealands native pigeon

here in new zealand we have a native wood pigeon. protected birds even though the country is loaded with them. i drove past it when i was doing the car wash thing... turned around and it was still sitting on the branch..... so i pulled up about 6-7 metres from it, slowly got out and fired off a few shots on the camera... as soon as i asked it to turn to the right it flew off

moral of the story is.... never ask a bird to do anything she doesn't want to do

That's one fat pigeon. Must have eaten a koala.

Very pretty bird, though.
