newb with a question

I am new to this forum and I would like to introduce myself. My name is Sam, I live in Maryland, and I currently have a Canon SX40. I used a 35 mm Pentax Spotmatic F for years but bought this digital camera a few years ago. I just recently tried to take a video with the Canon and it ran up to 100 MB
and shut itself off. I can not download the video. It shows up as a TMP file. I went to a photo shop & he told me that by it shutting off by itself it did not complete the file. Is there any way that I my get this to file to open?

You'll most likely need to use video repair software of some sort to recover the incomplete file.

Thank you for the reply. The software did show a demo of my movie.
Is this a reputable website to purchase the software from?
