Newbie! 8mm to CD???-Tampa, Florida

Hi, I just found this site looking for 8mm transfer to CD. I am a 63-year-old adventurous woman, who has travelled and lived in exotic places. My grandfather, whom I don't remember, passed away in 1943. I have a stack of 8mm films of travels and family I would like to see. I am afraid of running the film, since it is so old, some dating back to the 1920's I know for sure.

I do have a digital camera and just love it! This is great technology! What has happened in my generation is awesome, birth of Rock and Roll, landing on the moon, remote control, cell phones, computers, etc. !
