Newbie checking in

Hello all! i'm new to the site and looking foward to spending some time here. i had a few photo classes in high school (8 years ago) but need some refeshing. i use a nikon D40 (i'd love to upgrade). i mostly photograph cars and trucks, and my newborn son.
