Newbie Pics - Some C&C anyone?

Ok, here is the deal...

I have always had an interest in photography, but only now have decided to seriously pursue it. (As a hobby only.)

I am poised to purchase a DSLR and some glass (still need to do many hours of research yet) but would still like some critique of what I have taken so far with my point and shoot Sony DSC H20...

(All of these pictures can also be found full size on my blog listed in my profile.)

So fire away, don't worry if you must tell me my pics are crap, i can deal with it!!

Not bad for using a point and shoot, but most of the subjects/compositions don't do anything for me. The only two that I think had any promise is the bee shot ( if it had sharper focus ) and the butterfly picture. I don't think you need to show the entire flower in this shot. Keep the butterfly on one of the intersecting thirds ( top right ) and leave part of the flower so that its obvious what type and color etc.
