Night shot with rain

Hey ppl! This is my first attempt at this type of shot never done it before and i dont think my cam can cope with this type of shooting. Any suggestions no how bad or how i could improve it?

While I never tried to capture rain at night (just because I am too sissy to take the camera out into a rainy night, I think), what I know is that using on-camera/in-camera flash at night does not help the photos any. You best expose for long enough, with the camera firmly fastened to a tripod, and with a small aperture even (which means even longer exposure!), and make use of the available light than flash against the raindrops. My thoughts.

i think if you got the light on the other side of the raindrops and less intense it would look cool as well
