I received one of these yesterday in the mail (it was a gift).
These are just some practice shots. It took a bit to get used to the lens, but I'm hoping to be able to play with it some more today to really get used to it. I'm hoping to try for a garage portrait of my son using this lens today.
There isn't an exif data on them because I hadn't programmed the lens into my D300 before shooting these.
As you can see, my MF skills with this new lens needs a bit more tweaking, but I think I'll get there the more I use it.

This lens picked up dust particles that you cannot even see looking at this book!

I should have PPed the goobers out of her eyes before posting this. Yick.
Oh well, it's just a test shot.

I'm hoping that once I get this lens outside I'll notice more of the film-like quality these old manual lenses are famous for.

Sorry if this wasn't the right place for these. I am a beginner, though!

Second batch are much better. Both in composition and control.

Thanks. Yeah, the second batch was planned. The first batch was me simply trying my hand at manually focusing the lens and getting used to it.

agree, second batch is much better. Gorgeous!
The very first picture of the foot has me so confused. Is it just me or does it look like there are two separate areas of focus? The first is just to the left of the closest nail, on the fur, then the second is the 3rd nail and extending onto the fur. Weird!

probably due to my distance from the subject, my aperture, and my inability to focus the lens correctly at that point.
I was inside, in regular light, attempting to focus on a black dog's paw, too close for that lens, most likely.

Second bunch shows good quality, how tough is it to manual focus.

Thanks, for the feedback and comments/compliments, guys.

Alex,
It's not hard to manually focus on still objects and IF you have sufficient light in which to see what you are actually trying to focus on.

oops, meant to post some more I took today, about 45 minutes ago.
Just some icicles and frozen nature things around my yard.
