Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I've heard that this is a really great lens. Could anyone tell me if I will have any problems with this lens on my Nikon D50? This not being a DX lens, will it project correctly on the capture?

thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

That lens should have no problem on a D50.

Keep in mind that if you are used to that lens on a 35mm film camera...the field of view will be altered/limited. The 'crop factor' on Nikon DSLR cameras is 1.5...so the lens will feel like a 75mm lens does (on a 35mm SLR).

Yeah I can verify as well... that lens works fine on a D50 (I have both). It's an awesome lens, I'm sure you'll be happy with it.

thanks very much!! Can't wait to get it!!

yes, it does work, and it works very well. great sports photography lens, basketball especially, because of it's large aperture.

No problems whatsoever. Great piece of kit.

Don't lie. There are a few problems.

1. You'll have a problem trying to understand, after you use it a few times, why this lens only costs about $100. It's probably my favorite lens and rarely
comes off the camera.

2. You'll likely start to have a problem with DOF addiction.
3. Additional addiction with available light shooting.

That is all I can think of at this point.

Possibly Nikon's sharpest lens ever.

Sharpest nikon lens i've ever seen is either the 50mm f/1.4, or the 105 non-VR macro.
