Nikon 17-55 2.8 or Tamron 17-50mm 2.8: Which wold you buy?

I used the Tamron 17-50 (VC version) on my D90 for 18 months. It was a workhorse of a lens for me and never let me down once. Loved it. However, I never did try to nikon 17-55 so I can't speak from that's like, but for me, at the time it came down to price. I do know someone that just did pick up the Sigma 17-50 w/ OS and from my few moments with it, it was fantastic. It's a tough call! I think between both sigma and tamron you'd be happy with both. I loved my tamron and only sold it because I picked up a D700.

I just landed a clean, used Nikon 17-55 F2.8 and I'm in love!!! The build is exceptional and it's super sharp wide open!!
