    Hi guys,

I just bought a refurbished Nikon 24-70 f2.8 non VR version. The focus is fast and stays locked on once it hits its subject but its louder than I thought it would be for an AF-S lens. I'm wondering if anyone who owns a copy of this lens also experiences this noise? I posted a video to youtube of the lens focus so you can hear the sound. I'm only wondering because of the shorter warranty for Nikon refurbs. The link to the video is:

    Thanks in advance!

I don't know that lens, but I agree that that is pretty loud.

That's Nikon AF for live mode. Get use to it. This is why I changed to a Canon 80D for film and kept my Nikon D750s for stills. Sony and Canon are on par for AF in video. Sony being superior right now.
