Will this lens mount ONLY to Nikon cameras? I couldn't find on the site what type of mount it was. I understand that it is a possibility for some lenses to mount to other cameras, only the autofocus wouldn't function. Is that the case with this lens?

The mount is the standard Nikon one.

The G designation means that there is no aperture ring on the lens body, you have to set the aperture using the controls on the camera body.

The optics seem fine, not the best but very acceptable considering the price of the lens.
