Nikon/Canon Kit Lenses Question

Probably similar to my Sigma 18-250.

Here's one of natures fastest moving birds, the barn swallow... it's like trying to capture a mosquito with a tweezer

Some other birds in flight (sorry, it's all I have for somewhat comparable photos):

I tried to PM you, but your in-box is full.

And noyze is correct, all Canon autofocusing lenses have one of three types of focusing motor contained within the lens.

As far as the Sigma 70-300 APO-M DG, I've heard good reports about that lens as a 3rd party alternative lens...the price is very fair I think, a little over two hundred dollars. The Nikkor 70-300 VR lens is, OTOH, more constantly, but is also optically good enough that many nature professionals, Like Thom Hogan, actively recommend the 70-300 VR for use on the ultra-high MP D3x body.

Sorry. I finally deleted all my pms. Thanks for responding.
