Nikon D5000 or canon 500D

Hi friends
I want to buy slr camera ,when i enquired about nikon D5000 the dealer
told me better to go for canon 500 D. Bcoz canon has best features
than nikon , From my side i m not much interested in video shooting.and many of my friends who r professional photographer are using nikon models.bcoz they say it is user friendly and has less problems than canon. i m confused. plz suggest

You are new, so my suggestion is to strap yourself into your chair and get ready for the deluge...

Both companies make outstanding products. Forget what the guy told you, he probably has a preference towards Canon.




Here is the best way for you pick which camera when you are not sure because each sounds good, and people are driving you crazy with Nikon/Canon.

Take a quarter:
Heads is Canon, and Tails is Nikon. Flip the coin, then you will have your answer. :mrgreen:
