Hi All!
Newbie here.
So I have been having this issue (camera taking a long time to decide to take the pic - grr, I thought I decided this??) with my Nikon D5100 where I Finally discovered (thanks to numerous internet searches that finally got me to this helpful post http://www.thephotoforum.com/threads/d5100-shutter-lag.290186/ ) that the problem is that the setting for "D4:Exposure Delay Mode" is always set to/reset to ON (was not an issue the first few years of ownership). I have to turn it OFF, shut off my camera and then turn it on again, and then it is truly OFF (until the next time). This is pretty aggravating. Anyone else? Something I can do to end the issue permanently?
