Nikon D80 kit lens question

JerryPH, thank you too. The more I here about the other lenses the less I want to invest in a kit lens.

You might be doing yourself a service by getting the body and the 50mm f/1.8 first and having a go with that setup for a while. I got the kit 18-55 and the 55-200mm VR with my initial purchase of the D80. Since then I've accumulated a 35 f/2, 50 f/1.8 and 85 f/1.8 primes (plus some others, but that might sound like bragging). Those 3 lenses are excellent choices for people shots and many other uses as well.

It is a rare day indeed that either of those first two lenses are mounted on the camera body.

[EDIT]: Forgot to mention, all my lenses are Nikkors.

Okay, so now that I think I know what lens I want, I need to look for a Nikon D80 camera body for a cheap price.

Any better deals out there? It's tough for me to search because I don't know which sites can be trusted or not.

I have not bought a Nikon with a kit lens in a while, do they not offer the 18-70mm anymore, it is a great kit lens and puts the 18-55 to shame.
