Nikon... terrible service!

Dont get me wrong Ilove my nikon equipment but I amnot a fan of their service turn around time. Isent in my SB 600 about 4 weeks ago and still have not got it back, they did receive it and said it should be ready soon, that was a week ago!! how hard is it to fix a flash for a company that builds them, I bet I could have fixed it myslef faster!!!

It's definitely not a Nikon-only problem. I have not yet found a camera company who can do all three of the following...
1) Service equipment properly.
2) Do it in a reasonable amount of time.
3) Be able to tell me what's going on when I call them.

What happened to your flash?

Mine fell off of something I had placed it on while playing with the CLS. It
shattered the bulb and I just KNEW it would be easier to fix it myself than to
even try and get Nikon to repair it. $12 in parts and a couple of hours using a
steady hand and soldering iron and I was back in business in about 4 days.

I would be curious to know how long it ends up taking though.
