    Wet and dejected young robin - over two inches of rain overnight and today shows. The parent still looks sleek and dry!

    Well that is a rather saaaaad looking robin. You even caught some little droplets of water still on it. Guess the parents sent the 'kid' out on a 'character building' mission while they stayed sleek and dry.

    CORRECTION - a learned expert in feathered friends has reminded me how a baby robin should look - I posted a pic a few days back. This is the over stretched female and "Himself" is the sleek dry one!
