Good on the two of you...

I do keep a two-step ladder on hand and the D300 does have "Live View" if needed. I do like the swivel head though. I'm nearly 5'-10" now.... (damn I hate getting older and shrinking...) and just wanted to show the full extent possible. You never know, there could be a situation the height is needed. The pod also comes with a rubber foot for indoor use and by twisting the rubber foot up, a spike is introduced by twisting the opposite direction to impale the turf.

I got the same monopod and head rig. The pnuematic action is sweet. Says it supports 17lbs but I found my 400 f/2.8 pushes it down after a bit of use. That's pushing the stick to the max though.
