Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hello everyone!

I have been having trouble understanding color workspace and how it translates after post-processing and saving directly to jpeg or tiff for web use. After I am done editing my images in LR and go into PS CS6 for finishing touches and saving, I notice the images always turn out darker than they seem in LR.
Does monitor calibration highly influence the output image for web view? I am including two sample images. First one I took a screen shot and the second one is after I saved to jpeg. Any help is highly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

C

The second photo looks like it was cropped and it has posterization, a common JPEG artifact in areas of a photo that are a gradient.

The posterization is contributing to making the second photo look darker.

Thank you, KmH! This is very helpful. I am now aware how the histogram plays a great part in the final image after being processed. Also, thank you for the tutorial.
