I was surprised that you found absolutely nothing, so I looked up Recova (not having used it myself):

In brief, the review states that they were unable to use it to recover from a format. Perhaps some other software might have more success?

In all cases though, you should not be using the disk that you are trying to recover. Your chances of recovering files reduce the more you write to it, and the operating system writes to the C:\ drive frequently.

Won't work for uploads, only downloads.
