the "loss of a dear friend and companion" feeling...?

i get that when i look at it... our old yellow lab, "Shammy", (not Shep, but close) would have been beating me with that stick until I threw it into the water for her...

it's a nice emotional shot when you understand the title... i pretty much guessed, but i googled it just to make sure... ;) nice conversion too.

Yes, true enough: this one is "only a stick on the beach" but it is full of emotion for many a reason. Your conversion and toning helps the emotion to show and spread and reach the viewer perfectly!

Poor lonely stick, not another stick in the world for comfort....

    Great shot! Amazing emotion!

Cheers guys and thanks for the comments....it didn't go down too well did it! I'm pleased I'm not the only one to see something in it.
    Thanks again.

I gotta agree with JTH on this one. My pooch would have picked that thing up and ran with that stick. That was one of the first things I thought when I saw this one.
    Cool shooting Ken.
