I have always been interested in photography and have bounced around the idea of buying the D50 but recently found this camera, the Olympus om10 in a cabinet droor. I'm just kind of curious as to if it would be worth buying materials for developing pictures, or just go ahead and get a digital instead? I'm sure it's a preference type question, and I would love to do either, I think I would love having a darkroom, but would the cost of supplies outweigh buying a digital for a beginner?

you could still get both, and just use c41 film in the om10. As much as I support darkroom, it's an investment and a commitment that might not be the best for a beginner. A lot of people actually start of digital and start doing darkroom later.

But you should definitely use the om10, great camera
