Hi, I'm new here. I use Olympus and my experience would be beginner towards intermediate I think.

Looks like a great place here! Too bad it's hard to photograph the extreme cold we have had here... minus 46 Celsius recently in Edmonton, new record! ;)

    Welcome aboard.

Yes, it was pretty darn cold around here lately. -16C this morning felt balmy.
I've been out in about -30C to do some shooting...but not for very long.

I use an E-410. I'll probably get the E-620 after Christmas if I find a good deal on one. The in-body image stabilization really sounds appealing! Otherwise, the cheap E-410 has worked great for me.

    For lenses, I use three - Zuiko 50mm F/2.0 Macro, 70-300mm F/4-5.6, and a 14-54 F/2.8-3.5

I took this photo in November with the 14-54 and it is my entry in the Google Autumn Challenge.

Thanks. It seems to me that Olympus doesn't get much love compared to Nikon and Canon, but I'm not switching systems. I have realized that the skills and experience of the person using the gear is way more important than brand. Plus, I really like the Olympus lenses. Great glass.

Yes, when I first started looking for a Camera people were telling me to stay away from Olympus but the more and more research I did, I really started to like Olympus and I really love their Pancake lens.

I don't have the pancake lens, but I've been thinking about getting since it would make my camera so much more portable. So you are getting good results with that lens?

I was in Vegas last week, and I used my 14-54 lens, which is great. My E-410 precisely fit in my pocket with that lens, but it was kinda bulky and a bit awkward. The pancake lens must be great for walking around.

I love Olympus and the lenses especially the lenses I'm the proud owner of 3 bodies E-1 E-510 and E-3.
the IS is what sold me on my E-510 afterwards I picked up the E-3 and then later everybody was talking about E-1 which I picked up in a different forum for relatively cheap and that's the camera that I use the most the only bad thing about it it doesn't have IS but still it's one of my favorites and looking into getting a replacement just in case it wears out.

by the way that's an awesome picture
