    man i cannot wait to figure out the color stuff on this mac, nothing looks the same in photoshop or lightroom as in the browser . . .

    That's certainly one of the most unique flower shots I've seen, great idea.

    Nice! Can I ask how you took it? It looks back-lit but then the background is entirely dark ... did you do some very meticulous cropping?

    I like it. Maybe you should shot more flowers. Get in touch with the 'softer side of Mike.'

    I think the color looks good, but I don't know what the flower looked like originally.

    haha, the softer side of mike . . . hmm am i brave enough to do that? i doubt it.

    i lit this with an sb-800 shooting up into the backside of it. it was 5 inches from the flower, that was in the shade. i then did a curve adjustment layer and painted out some of the other stuff (like where it said nikon on my flash)

    Cool. I don't have a flash I can use off-camera, but I might try a similar technique. Very cool effect!
