    Nice shot, I like the colors- So can you just jab that into the ground wherever you go?

    not an expert, but that is what they do from time to time ... just hiding one of their legs

    Aww.. What a splendid animal. Wouldn't normally think of a duck as splendid, but the gold color and regal poise give this one a distinguished air.

    Ducks, Swans and birds often stand like that, one possible reason is to conserve body heat

    looks like a fulvous whistling duck to me but I could be wrong

    nice shot love the lighting

    But no, not only is the background nice, the photo of the one-legged (not really!) duck is also really good! I can see the pulled-up second leg, mind you! :D
