I took this on my way to class one day. I havent touched it in photoshop or anything yet. critiques welcome.

You might want to touch it and make it smaller?

A width of 1064 px does not fit onto everyone's screen, I'm afraid.
It is advisable not to make pics for the web any wider than 800 px maximum.

Furthermore, if this were mine, I'd possibly crop this a little to shift the horizon off centre ... to the top of the darkest cloud, I think, to get rid of the bright part of sky where the sun blows the whole pic out. (Just my thoughts.)

the lighting is nice.

the crop is indeed not as good as it could be. I my humble opinion your shot is the line of birds on the left of the image, all that extra on the right is wasted space. I would crop it so that the horizon is about two thirds from the bottom and let the rest fall where it would. I would crop after the light reflection on the water using it as the right ending point.
