One of my first abstracts

This is a wheel on a motor coach I was driving on a wine tour. I loved the way the mud was dispersed on the wheel. Thoughts?

Well. One thought would be: could you not have gone even closer to get even more abstract?
Or does is the original maybe sharp enough to create a crop that would no longer show any bolts and holes and thus entirely focus on the mud patterns? Wouldn't that be even more abstract, maybe?

I think it might be better in B&W than the sickly green cast it has now, probably from the available lights...

Why don't you try LaFoto's idea too?

Was this a flash photo? (It is kind of hot towards the middle) If so, it may have been better with natural light taken from a small tripod; it would have more even lighting, assuming your camera has a slow enough shutter speed.
